Serious gamers might not like to admit it, but the Wii-games (Wii Sports/Resort) are a lot of fun.  Wii Party is the next game in the line of casual “Wii” games.  “Party” looks like its meant to expand on the multiplayer aspects of Wii Sports, adding games that allow many more people to play at one time.

Nintendo referred to Party as a step towards growing a “social” experience.  Wii is notorious for it’s lackluster use of online multiplayer.  Will Wii Party be the first step by Nintendo to finally give online play the attention it deserves?

Frankly, I’m not convinced.  But there’s always hope.
