Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Announced

Sony seemed to pull the gun a bit early, already unveiling some awesome details on the Naughty Dog’s next installment of the Uncharted series. In this next installment we will be taking our wise-cracking hero Nathan Drake through the deserts of the Arabian Peninsula.

Uncharted 3 is said to focus more on the relationship between Sully and Drake as they both search for the lost city in the Arabian Peninsula and through the Rub’ al Khali Desert. Inspirations by such people such as T.E. Lawrence.

“When we first came up with the idea of sand, you see everyone’s eyes light up and go, ‘Yeah, that’s going to be really hard – let’s do it!’” said the games creative director Ann Henning.

“We’re a bunch of nerds. We just look for something that will be a technical, artistic challenge, and allowed us to push into an area of the world and history we’ve never tapped into before,” added Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells.

When the VGA’s are shown on Saturday there might be a teaser trailer. Naughty Dog is said to be focusing a lot of attention of Uncharted 3’s online and co-op features. They also announced a few new features, having the ability to engage multiple enemies as well as ‘enhanced backward climbing’ we’ll have more details on that as they come out.
