Turns Out Mega Man Legends 3 REALLY Needs Your Help

Looks pretty good, doesn’t it? Well, if you want to see a full version of that, then you better buy the 3DS demo when it comes out. In the interview in the above video, Capcom states that if the “Prototype Edition” doesn’t sell well on the 3DS’ eStore when it comes out, then they aren’t going to go all in and actually make Mega Man Legends 3.

If you’re like me, you probably just went “BWUUUUUH?!” It appears that Capcom doesn’t have a lot of faith in a new Mega Man Legends game. Despite the fact that everyone has been clamoring for it for a very long time now. Their wariness with the game might have something to do with Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune leaving them; and if that’s the case, then I’m going to become rather wary too. If Capcom really doesn’t think they can handle the Mega Man franchise without its creator, then I have to wonder what Mega‘s future will end up being. He’s almost Capcom’s secondary mascot (with the primary being Ryu since he’s shown up on more of their logos).

So please, buy Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Edition when it comes out. I really want to play a full Mega Man Legends 3. Until Prototype Edition hits, I guess all we can do is just pray that Mega Man doesn’t become Capcom’s equivalent to Sega’s Sonic. Hit the jump for more Prototype Edition footage.
