I think that for videos you have to accentuate certain defining traits of your personality that you want people to see. In a video, you don't have all the body language, the context of a real life situation nor the emotional involvement of your audience. A video generally has less impact than someone who's directly talking to you and making jokes in real life. Of course, this is when the power of editing comes in, as you can see video humor is much different than say stand-up comedy. So to summarize, exaggerate a few of your character traits that define you and use the power of editing to emphasize some of your jokes
Yep be yourself and have fun with it yourself but also have a look at some other youtubers, see what they do for ideas of how it can work for you
Just make videos! I was nervous as anything at the beginning and it showed, only two months in and can already see a big improvement in commentary -
