Sony Suggests The PSP2 Is As Powerful As A PS3

Let’s face it, CES was quite a boring showing for Sony. They unveiled their new Sony phone, you can imagine how exciting that was…

Granted, the new phone looked great and all, but it wasn’t the announcement everyone was waiting for, the inevitable (at least hopefully) Playstation Phone, more aptly named, the PSP2. In a recent interview with Kotaku, EA CEO John Riccitiello said “Having something as powerful as a PlayStation 3 in your pocket is a pretty compelling idea.”

This statement could be nothing, but judging from the general behavior of many game publishers/developers it could be inferred that Sony is telling their third parties just how powerful this PSP2 could be.

The PSP2 is also going to be more download focused, however physical media will also be used in order to sell in the retail market.
