Sony Is Porting PSP Games to PS3 with HD Visuals
Finally. Sony is starting an inititive called the Playstation Portable Remaster program. Sony will be re-releasing select PSP games on the PS3 with HD graphics and a 3D option, control pad support, and more. Before you ask, yes, there will be multiplayer available via the PS3′s ad-hoc program for the PSP. Even better is that PSP saves for people that have the games can be migrated between the two systems to continue your game.
So far, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd has been the only game announced for this program, but I’m sure other PSP bigguns will follow. It would certainly be nice to play Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker with two thumbsticks and on a TV, the way it was meant to be played. I have seriously been waiting for them to do this ever since th PS3 was announced. It just makes sense that they would make more money off of game sales if they let the game play on Playstation 3s.
Hit the jump for a comparison between the PSP and PS3 port versions of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.
