Netflix on PS3 will be discless by October

Great news for PS3 owning Netflix fans!  Discussing their last financial quarter, CEO Reed Hasting revealed that they plan to redesign the PS3 Netflix application, removing the need for a start-up disc.  Hasting said that the update will be in place “by October.”  The decision is most likely a response to both the long-standing complaints from PS3 users, who begrudging acknowledge the Xbox 360 as the superior Netflix-viewing platform, and the recent critical response to the Hulu Plus PS3 interface, which has been very positive.
