Kinect will cost $150, Microsoft confirms

Microsoft finally confirmed the price of their highly-anticipated motion controller Kinect today. As rumors have suggested, the peripheral will retail for $150. In addition, Microsoft will also be offering a 360 Slim & Kinect package for $300. Either way, the hardware comes paired with a copy of “Kinect Adventures.” To incite more pre-orders, those who do pay up front will get three special levels for the game (yeah, not sure how much that will work).
On the bright side, Kinect games will actually cost less than normal 360 titles, at 50 bucks a pop.
Microsoft also confirmed the “Arcade” version of the Slim 360, which will be available starting next month. The new version comes with 4GB of internal memory and will cost $200. The Slim + Kinect bundle will feature this new version of the console rather than the stand alone 300$ version of the Xbox 360 Slim.
Kinect doesn’t hit stores until November, so you have plenty of time to figure out which of the models you’re going to get (if you’re planning on buying one at all).
