Just got done reading this. What the hell, people.
Evidently a couple in South Korea was just convicted of starving their daughter to death because of their internet addiction. Authorities pointed the finger at their obsession with online gaming in particular. The couple routinely spent hours at a time at a local internet cafe, neglecting their daughter. The day she died they abandoned her for ten hours while playing games at the cafe. Ten hours. The official report is expiration due to malnutrition.
I just don’t get it, I guess. How the hell do you get so addicted to online games that you only bother feeding your baby once a fucking day? And then hitting her when she cries? I was already disappointed in humanity, and this shit doesn’t help.
A two-year prison sentence for the dad? Really? And the mother’s sentence was suspended because she’s pregnant. I…ugh. I may have to see a physical therapist due to all the eye rolling and head shaking I’m doing right now.
