Rumor: Sonic Colors Has A 2-Player Mode?
So far, Sonic Colors has no multiplayer modes announced. However, this screenshot found on Amazon’s website for the game says otherwise. It shows not only two Sonics but also HUD displays for both characters. While I would ask why they have a red Sonic instead of Tails or Knuckles, I will chalk it up to laziness or a not-so-robust multiplayer mode. Either way, this is still interesting if it ends up working similar to New Super Mario Bros Wii. since it doesn’t show a split-screen display.

Silver Surfer in Marvel vs. Capcom 3?
As the resident Norrin Radd (that would be the Silver Surfer’s real name, kids) super geek here on DamnLag, it is my duty to report to you the greatest rumor I’ve read in ever: the Silver Surfer appears to be joining the cast of Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Have your grains of sodium on ready because the source of the rumor comes from 4chan. The information provided seems surprisingly legit however, with the anonymous poster linking to an image of the Surfer in a Japanese magazine article with a supposed interview with Marvel vs. Capcom producer Ryota Niitsuma. According to the source, Niitsuma describes the Silver Surfer as a unique character with a fast paced play-style. He is geared towards advanced players, and he hovers constantly. The character is supposed to be formally unveiled next month.
The interview caps off saying that the arcade mode’s final boss should be “familiar” to Fantastic Four fans. I’m pretty sure what that implies. Let’s just hope he’s not a cloud this time.

Is this most of the Rock Band 3 setlist?
As an up-and-coming blog we just love unsubstantiated rumors. They’re the lifeblod of blogdom; if you’re right it’s a ticket to respectability and prestige, if not? Who cares.
So, I’m thrilled to bring this completely unsubstantiated rumor from our great source: some guy at GameFAQs. Here’s the supposed rest of the Rock Band 3 setlist:
Grand Theft Auto V: Hollywood?
In the weirdest and most oddly entertaining way I’ve ever seen a rumor dropped, VG247 reports that the next Grand Theft Auto game is to be set in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The game will allegedly be announced at an upcoming Rockstar Games event for Max Payne 3.  The report also lines up with Eurogamer’s stating that Rockstar is “definitely researching the Hollywood area.”
If true, Hollywood itself is a relatively small area. It all seems to point to players revisiting GTA: San Andrea’s LA inspired Los Santos, much like how GTA:IV took us back to Liberty City from the third game.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution dated for February?
Several game retailers have most likely outed the release date of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Â Gamestop and Amazon have both listed the shipping date for the game as February 28th, 2011. Â Steam has also listed the release as February, but hasn’t disclosed the actual release day. Â Officially, Square Enix has said that the game will be released early next year, but hasn’t narrowed it down past that point.
Though this isn’t an official confirmation, retailers have been reliable in the past. Â For example, they predicted the newly confirmed price of the Microsoft Kinect.
“Capcom vs Namco” or “Namco vs Capcom”? Why not both?
A coded comment at EVO 2010 by Street Fighter 4 producer Yoshinori Ono and Tekken 6 producer Katsuhiro Harada may have been the first word of an epic new undertaking in the world of fighting games.  Game Informer claims to have confirmed that the two producers will be working on a pair of franchise tag-team games, “Capcom vs Namco” and “Namco vs Capcom”?
Huh?
Bobby Kotick Dreams of Call of Duty Online
“Call of Duty, now only 9.99 a month!”
Those words have been haunting Activision CEO Bobby Kotick’s dreams for months now. Â Speaking with the with the Wall Street Journal last week, Kotick said that the number one change he would make to his company is turn the Call of Duty series into one large subscription-based game.”I would have Call of Duty be an online subscription service tomorrow… Â When you think about what the audience’s interests are and how you could really satisfy bigger audiences with more inspired, creative opportunities, I would love to see us have an online Call of Duty world. I think our players would just have so much of a more compelling experience.” Â Yeah… Ok. Â Let’s translate, shall we? Â Bobby Kotick knows that you love Call of Duty. Â So, if he could change one thing about his company right now, he would make it so that he could keep his hand in your pocket 24/7.
Rumors and murmurings about a Call of Duty MMO have been coming and going for about a year, ever since Activision floated the possibility in a customer survey. Â With Kotick bringing up the subject yet again in such a high-profile manner, it seems likely that the company will be pursuing the project in the near future.
What did we do to deserve this!?
E3’s Over… Only Three Months ‘Til Tokyo Game Show
Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has a new project that will be ready for public consumption by Tokyo Game Show this September. Â Supposedly the game was going to be shown at E3, but Kojima decided to hold the game back three months in order to make sure its “bulletproof.” Of course, this is a rumor. Â According to CVG, the info comes from a very reliable “U.S. Publishing Source,” who says the game is a “massive PS3 exclusive that will own the show.” Â Jeez, ever heard of a soft sell, buddy?
New Half-Life Game Possibly at E3
An image floating around the internets is hinting at a new Half-Life game. The teaser poster features the Half-Life logo with “Freeman” and a June 14th date. The crowbar dude himself is barely visible in the background. June 14th happens to be the day right before the E3 Expo. Half-Life 2: Episode 3? Half-Life 3? Something completely different? Two weeks untill we know for sure.
The legitimacy of the image depends on who you ask, but nothing has yet been confirmed so you’ll have to hold your breath for now. DAMNLAG will be at E3 though, so if it makes an appearance we’ll send some ninjas or something to give you the scoop. Check the full image after the jump.
Kim Kardashian? Raiding MY Tombs?
Rumor has it that Kim Kardashian is set to star as Lara Croft in a new Tomb Raider movie, replacing Angelina Jolie in favor of someone who could play a younger Lara. Showbiz Spy is saying that Kardashian is currently taking acting lessons for the role.
Now before you get up in arms, think about this for a second. Both Kardashian and Croft originated in popularity due to sex appeal. She’s got the body; dat ass is probably the only that gets more stares than Lara Croft’s. Also Kim Kardashian attempting a British accent is too hilarious to pass up. What I’m trying to say is that my penis thinks this is a good idea so they should do it.
Moral of the story, kids: if you’re hot and make a sex tape you can be famous and star in blockbuster movies someday too.
