Kojima is broken up over the recent delay announcement for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. I mean really upset. So much that he's decided to go by the bushido code and stab himself in the gut with his sword, i.e. "seppuku."
...
Okay, not really. But he is really upset over the delay. He apologized to his fans today on the Kojima Productions blog. A translation at andriasang.com for the apology revealed this quote:
"I always preach to the staff, 'You must not have a delay after a release date has been announced. There is no greater crime as a game developer. Official announcement of a release date is nothing less than a promise to fans and business partners. In other words, a release date change is like betraying the expectations of everyone."
So far, fan response has been positive and many have been responding to Kojima's post forgiving him. For those that don't know, Peace Walker was originally supposed to come out on March 18, but now it won't hit Japan until April 29. However, Europe and the US are unharmed by the delay and will still get the game this May 28/25 respectively.
